so, i made it back to the land of the ice and snow, asking myself the whole way why the hell i live in the northern wastes of canadaland again.
vancouver was... restful.
there were fun times had, geckos bought, museums visited, paleolithic peoples stomped, and piercings pierced, but on the whole it was a much more laid back visit than new year's. many naps were taken
sadly, my camera batteries died on my second day there, so some of my visit must go unmemorialized in film, including me and rin seeing the mastadon at the Royal BC Museum and then pretending to stomp paleolithic peoples throughout the downtown streets of Victoria. (we even made a theme song. complete with rockin' metal air-guitar solo.)
but, things i do have photographic proof of:

now for some advil and off to bed. papers to write! last weeks of work to attend!
oh, right, i quit my job. so if anyone out there knows of any nifty places that allow facial piercings that are hiring in E-town, let me know
