*i spent most of this week mon-wed watching the startrek voyager marathon on spike. you know, instead of studying for the 3 finals i had this week

*back on the topic of school, i am excited like whoa for my classes next semester! a few weeks ago i gave up the pretense that i was taking a useful degree with the intention of getting into a useful grad program, and rearranged my schedule to take classes that are practically useless, but intellectually fascinating to me. gogo ecological anthropology and scottish history from the reformation onward.
*i'm listening to the score:bootleg versions EP by the fugees. i bought it on a whim when i was a small town country girl in middle school. i just found it a few weeks ago when i went to load a bunch of old cds onto my lappytron. like the fu got the manchu, chaka got the zulu, hawaii got the honolulu. the feeling of the words is almost tangible in my mouth
*i'm going home to the parental abode for the christmas hols, so wish me luck. or, alternatively, wish that my mom remains pleasantly tipsy all weekend. things between us go so much smoother between us when one and/or both of us have one foot in the wine cabinet, possibly both feet!
