i will entitle it "People who have never lived in a post-secondary residence never believe me about this shit."
one of my chapters will appear thus:
so, last night at around midnight, while trying to get some sleep, i heard rumbling and crashing as something fell down the stairs of my building. after a brief arguement with my conscience as to whether i should get up and see if there was some drunken idiot laying in a broken heap at the bottom of the stairs needing medical assistance, i gave in, threw on my housecoat, and ventured out of my apartment. what did i find? not that some drunken first year had taken a tumble while trying to navigate the intricacies of STAIRS, but that some jackasses from the fourth floor had thrown a fucking DESK down the centre of the stair case.
no warning, no "heads up down there" shouted out as a vague concession to NOT FUCKING KILLING PEOPLE WITH FALLING DESKS, just threw it down the damn stairs.
sigh.

That's why we geeks try and stick to our rooms most of the time. Very few desks can land on our heads within the sanctum.
