damn it.
my one day off to sleep in all week and the garbade truck comes at 7am.
and then my neighbor mows the lawn at nine.
glass_cat:
your neighbor or a maintenance man? Because if those boys are actually working before 10... well... that's just crazy.
oryx:
haha. no, it's just it's been so long since i've gotten any, i sorta forgot the word. ha.

and people talk about my image
like i come in two dimensions.

damn it. i need to get laid.

i am beginning to accept mediocrity. i am still trying to work out whether or not that's a good thing.

last night:

drunken karaoke.

FreakPirate now has my permission, nay, my express request, to punch me right in teh face next time i suggest that we should do shots.

it's been a looong time since i've had the pleasure of debating the relative merits of throwing up to make myself feel better. oh tequila, why?

but it was a good time. we had a conversation...

mercifull jello shooters it's an oven out there.

calgary was fun. seeing the rinster was wonderbar. but it really did feel like the end of an era. it wasn't an sg party the way they are in my memory. too many people have moved on or moved out.

le sigh.
glass_cat:
There's your problem; jello shooters. Slurpees and Vanilla Schnapps was the way to go tongue.
freakpirate:
I believe I lost my key in your couch somewhere... or possibly at the bar. Hopefully in your couch.

yay! 24 hours until escapades with teh rinster!

even though i have a nasty cough and can barely talk, good times will be had!

i can only hope i will top our last true escapades, which resulted in detatching of chicken wire from private property and taking home lamps from a dumpster!
soleils:
Hurray! Escapades....the word escapade always makes me think of icecapades. Coincidence???...
rin:
massive amounts of fun will be had!! guaranteed!

like a rubicks cube.

fitting all the parts of my life together.

slowly.

i had forgotten what it was like to have a friend that presented no expectations.

god i miss... everything.

fuzzy fuzzy.

i made a deal with the karaoke dj that i'd sing leonard cohen. one half-sober rendition of "Suzanne" later i am drinking water at home in the hopes of being coherent...

today was meltymeltymelty.

after work, i ate some ice cream and stopped at the legislature grounds and splashed in the fountain with 7 year olds and then read a book in the shade. it was a stereotypically picturesque summer afternoon, and i was completely unaffected.

to elaborate: i feel as though i should have felt all relaxed and langourous and... i don't know. but i...

Weekends are best spent on useless activities any way. They preserve ones remaining sanity.
And no one likes a crazy Cirdt.

my thought process for the evening, while browsing the video gallery:

"hmm. it's a thursday night. i have nothing to do. clearly, i should rent "the notebook" and spend the better half of an hour weeping uncontrollably at schmaltzy love stories involving senile dementia."

it's cathartic ok?

rin:
when i first saw it, i was about to cry but the boy i saw it with whispered something about elephant graveyards to me and we exited the theatre laughing.

so, new in the world of cirdt-

my grandfather came down to visit for fathers day, so i've been at the parental unit's house all weekend.

it's.... very strange, my nana died last year, so he's on his own now, and he manages all by himself in their house, and bikes around town, so we know he's still able to function but... it's like he's...

today i went out and sat on a picnic bench outside my apartment in the near-torrential rain. i live on in residence on a university campus, and the street in front of my building is pedestrian and bicycle access only. i sat and smiled at the people scurrying by with their umbrellas. some even smiled back.

now i am on my third, or possibly fourth,...
