I feel that we might, as a race, figure out to stop treating the world as a 10 dollar whore(aka Neo's mom) just in time to reverse some of our damage. Slowly but surely the alternative energies was being fully explored....hybrid cars, wind energy, and something called Space Energy or Cosmic Energy. I saw the last Leonides (sp?) meteor shower. It was really cool - although I had to get up at 4:30 AM to see it. About every 30 seconds a streak of light would appear out of some random spot, go in a random direction, and wink out about 1 degree of sky later. Not exactly a sky of fire, but cool anyway.

Don't worry, man. You feel like this because you are young. I know I am not that much older than you, but the difference between early twenties and late twenties have been drastic, for me, at least. Not in how you act, but in how things start to look. Life is not a make or break thing. To look at it like that is to take away some of its most appealing features. The small wonders of life, finding a lucky penny, seeing a good show, that is life.
Saying you aren't what you thought you'd be is a no win question. What are you, then? What should you be? How do you define exactly what it is you need to accomplish to be who you think you should be? Having goals is great but there are few things in life that most people will experience that they look at as a defining moment in who they are. You are very young, the odds of finding enough of those moments in your life to define yourself is probably slim.
Sinking away won't help you find yourself. It will make things worse. I believe the best way to see yourself is through the eyes of those who care for you. What better way to find the courage to live than to take their positive energy for you and harness it for your own self-esteem. You should hold onto those people. If you don't, you will miss them more than you ever thought you would.
