I smiled today for the first time all week. I saw this quasi pope-mobile that drives around campus that shovels the sidewalks. well while shoveling it tipped over, trapping the guy inside. I laughed quite heartily for a full minute before people came out to set him back to normal.
As for my love of live covers, i'm starting to think i have a problem. I have a great cover by death cab for cutie of the song 'here comes the rain again' that i absolutely adore, but i really don't like the pretenders. That and the death cab cover of "Complicated." I'm going straight to hell.
It's a firday night, and i got nothin goin on. I should have gone home but it just wasn't in the cards, and by in the cards i mean that i was too tired to drive for 2 hours.

the socializing thing is becoming a bit of a problem, though i'm not really making the situation any better./ I'm a new student from out of town and i don't have a roommate at the moment (i.e. his friends haven't become my friends yet). Two very important strikes against me. Plus i'll have my door open and listening to music but it's usally not the type that others like (tried tool and Joy Division's Closer album today) and i'll go on my lappy to the student center but i won't really talk to anyone. It's a personal hell, and i'm going back to grand forks saturday to get 2 cds, my original nintendo, and to speak with actual people.
Though I have no doubt that i'll be getting along quite well with the lovely ladies in my music history class. Gives me an incentive to show up, especially the one that looks like an anorexic brook.
