Taking you off my ignore list was not an invitation to post in my journal. Ranting about our past was not an invitation for you to read it.
And I find it interesting that you, apparently so certain that you're in the right, telling me just yesterday to leave you alone, would continue to spend so much time justifying yourself. Get over it. That conversation is over. When I speak of you, it's speaking to a memory.
I don't need further vindication. (& did you really imagine I'd even bother to read all that?)

It's a curious thing; it's been a long time since I genuinely looked forward to be home. And it's not that I don't love my family, or dread the time we spend together. That's always fantastic. And although most of my friends from back home have moved away or drifted apart from me, there's always someone to see & chill with. I guess I really dread going home sheerly out of disgust with the place itself. And a strong distaste for being severed from this city and everything I love about it.
Gah. But now I am looking forward to it. billbraskey and I are going to paint that town all kinds of colors (but not red--they'd be expecting that).
Prepare my Star Destroyer for my arrival!

I have always wondered what it would be like to have that "going home" feeling. Unfortunately I still live in the city I grew up in and my childhood home was sold off years ago. Sometimes I go back to my old neighborhood. But it's not the same. Everyone, and I do mean everyone has moved away. All young upper middle class families now. When I was there it was almost all retirees and older working class families.

Hope the trip home was a good one.
