My discman is acting goofy. My stove set off the #3 fire alarm in my apartment (that's 3 of 4, only the bedroom one is left). Oh, and my face freezing into a snowy rictus every damn time I set foot outside, which I had to do because I had some incredibly overdue library material ($29.75 in overdue fees...looks like I won't be checking anything out for awhile).

And in 24 hours I'll be back "home." Quotations because it no longer seems anything like home, especially compared to the TCs. Going to be a long several days.

I'm just finishing the Salman Rushdie novel I mentioned in my first SG journal entry. I seem to recall saying I liked it back then...now it's just boring the fuck out of me. Trying to be clever; essentially, trying to hard. Should've gone for an earlier work. Any recommendations handy?

Judas's set going up; I feel, not a need, but an expectation of me to say something about this (especially since she's worried about my reaction). Actually, I'm surprised how little it bothers me. I worked through this months ago, though, and there's little difference between an inevitable reality and the reality itself having happened. The only real change is the disappearance of anticipation, which tends to be the worst or best in things anyway.
No, I'm not troubled. Amused, bemused, and even proud. She's an amazing woman, and she deserves the spotlight she chased down.

Now I need to go fetch some dinner. Happy Secular Free Time to those folks that I won't be talking to between now and Z-time. And wish me a happy birthday, you fucks!

I did say "happy birthday" on the day of your birth, did I mess it up by using my dad's computer?
