Curse being away from a working computer/internet connection for so long. I feel ridiculously behind in the various goings-on I usually keep up with, and all because of a silly holiday (still pissed that the campus was locked-down yesterday...only a couple of weeks left in the semester, we've got deadlines goddammit...not that I would've done homework on a Sat. anyway...)
Moved into my new place yesterday. Discovered the power was off, later realizing that it was the whole first floor (the other apt there is empty, door unlocked), realizing that the circuit breakers are in the basement, realizing that the keyring they gave me does not in fact include keys to said basement, realizing that my lock-picking skills are rustier than the economy...realizing that reading by candlelight isn't too bad. Yeah, hell of an evening.
