One of those two-updates-in-one-day kinda days, except I have nothing in particular to say,

Except that it happened. I've always wanted to be at one of those milestone concerts, being there as a band/musician comes to the very verge of exploding, and I'm pretty sure last night was it. Doomtree's blowout show sold out the Varsity-apparently people stood in line for an hour and didn't get it. But I got in, got drunk on Guinness, and danced my ass off. There's nothing more incredible than when the act your seeing can't believe the turnout, the energy, the general demand for their work-and I can think of few local stars that deserve it more. It's a feeling better than any drug I know of (and quite possibly better than sex).

I want more.

Interestingly enough, my only regret about going back to North Dakota Thursday night is the two or three sure-to-be-great local shows I'm going to miss.
Fucking hey I love this town.
