I was tagged by the lovely Rhanarose so now I guess I am supposed to list 20 interesting facts about myself. Well, I'll do my best, so here ya go...
1. I love to cook. Some of my specialties include sushi, filet mignon and pork chops marinated in a black currant sauce. Oh, and I can make a mean veggie lasagna as well (for all of you non-meat eaters out there
).
2. I am 1/4 Mexican and 1/4 Spanish, but I can't speak Spanish at all (I know I must remedy that)! I took Japanese in high school instead
.
3. I spent two weeks in the hospital from a serious mountain bike racing accident. Falling off off of a high cliff is no fun, but at least I was wearing a helmet, or I probably wouldn't be here today.
4. Throughout highs school I worked as a lab assistant doing research at a major biotech firm. I genetically engineered some strains of bacteria and discovered some new genes while I was there (yes, I am a closet nerd).
5. I went to college for bio-chem, and somehow came out with a degree in film and a minor in mathematics (don't ask me how that happened). Looking back, I wish I had majored in psychology or economics. Again, just don't ask.
6. I have a new dream...To try wild boar (okay...that was cheating, I'm currently watching the Food Network as I type this, lol).
7. My favorite color is pink...Ahahaha. Actually, I'm not really sure if I have a favorite color, so it might as well be pink.
8. Although it is quite clear that I am a monkey, (I mean the name CIneMonk gives that away, doesn't it?) my favorite animal is actually the penguin.
9. Growing up I was such a little punk. Skating, cutting class, and drinking 40s. You name it, I probably did it. Don't worry, I've matured quite a bit since then...sort of
.
10. I am a proud member of the mile-high club.
11. I went to jr. high and high school with The Donnas. They are really embarrassed by the fact that I still own their 7" that they put out in 8th grade. I think their exact words were 'Oh god, we were hoping nobody still had that!". Yeah, back then they were known as Raggedy Anne. Let's just say they've improved quite a bit since then.
12. If I could travel one place in the world it would probably be Japan. I think Japanese culture is incredible, and I love good sushi. Plus, I hear the strip clubs there are "off da hook" (direct quote).
13. When I was a kid I wanted to be a chemist. I told you I was a nerd.
14. I've only been in love once, and I'm happy to say that I still am.
15. I was the shy guy in high school. Who'd have thunk it?
16. I think my best attributes are my laid back personality and my sense of humor.
17. I once spent two weeks backpacking through the high Sierra. It was an amazing experience to say the least.
18. I have an uncle who is somewhat responsible for the advent of short-board surfing. Honestly, more than likely, he was the first person to ever own a short-board.
19. I used to be really into BMX. In fact when I watch the X-Games I realize that I've ridden with at least half of those guys.
