I took my good friend Val to Gil Mantera's Party Dream at the Beachland Ballroom last night. They were transcendant as usual. It really blew her mind. She was speechless. She says it changed her life. She had never been to a show where the band was that balls out before. I'm glad she enjoyed it so much. She's coming with me to the Starlight Mints tomorrow, and then maybe to see Heavy Trash (featuring Jon Spencer) and then Nashville Pussy and then (maybe) the Black Lips and then the Burlesque tour and then the Decemberists. I'm excited about all these good shows.

And now it's back to work. Got a job, back in school, working on two plays, oy.
