Some people close to me have suggested that I may have a drink problem, I have been drinking roughly the same amount since I was about 15. I love drink and drinking and everything that goes with it... I lived in a pub for 12 years and now I run a bar in a social club. Someone suggested that I write down everything I have to drink each day so that I can see how its fucking me up. It's no good just writing it in a diary or on bits of paper,so I thought it would be a good idea to keep a journal on this site - at least a few other people will see it I suppose!!!
I didn't have much to drink over Xmas at all really.. Xmas eve was the most - about 7 pints.
Xmas day I had a bottle of red wine and a few bottles of stella.
Last week I consumed about half a bottle of Courvosier Cognac ( to help me sleep cos I was ill )
Friday night I had about 16 measures of Sailor Jerry Rum... and tonight I had about the same - lovely.
I'm not writing all this down to be big or clever or anything, but to show me I might have a problem...
I have started going out with a lovely young lady called Weezer who I have known for years, who hasn't drunk much for over a year cos she has a one year old son - but she wants me to take her out and have a good drinking session - it seems I have a reputation for the drink...
