it appears i will be 21 years of age this coming June 5th, 2010.
i am not sure what this means for me because i do not really care for any sort of bar scene.
but i can go to my friend's performances and music shows since every event in this fackin city is held at a bar.
oh and i can walk into a store and buy my own wine this time! whoos.
it also appears that i will be heading back to indiana for a bit too, (i'm not sure of the date yet)
my sister received (2nd opinion) news from a surgeon on monday that she will need to get heart valve surgery within the next 3 months. extremely deep sigh....
the news wasn't as bad as we originally thought. the procedure will be pretty easy and her healing time will be a month. i know she is scared and trying to wrap her mind around the whole situation. she has been very fatigued lately and only seems to be getting more tired when doing any sort of activity.
i've been holding space for her ever since i heard what was going on and i hope you will do the same.
she is an extremely kind and loving being. my best friend in the whole world. no one compares. i love her so much and want the best for her. i know this will improve her health immensely.
it's just a little overwhelming, you know?

and a sidenote... my 21st bday was pretty anti-climatic for me as well. i had just given up drinking a few months early. so it wasn't a big deal like for most people. i did go in a liquor store just for the point of doing it. and the lady didn't even id me. she said she had drank with me in a bar before and thought i was already of age.
