my dog is kind of manic. she walks in circles around the door, pleading to go out, she then refuses to set foot outside. after five minutes of that, she bolts out the door like a maniac and then walks no further than ten steps down the block. she's adorable nonetheless.

on another note, the onslaught of fall/winter scares me a little. the process of settling into it is one that is remarkably unsettling. the whole convivial atmosphere of the summer is gone. things just feel lonelier. but i don't doubt that the feeling will pass, and before we all know it spring will be here again.
