I'm going to learn some Polish. That's where a good chunk of my family heritage comes from, so why not connect with that by learning the language?

Here's a fun quote from a website I found:
"You have to remember that Polish and English sound systems are different. The vowels are similar but not the same. None of the Polish vowels is present in the English sound system."

Now, that quote should intimidate me, but I figure that if I can get a handle on Japanese... this shouldn't be too tough. At least there is only one alphabet, and it's rooted in roman letters!
