After time and repeated threats of dropping the price, I bought an Xbox 360 last weekend. Copious amounts of time were spent in the pursuit of killing zombies. I'm such a sucker for Dead Rising right now. Starting the game over with a more powerful character when you die took some getting used to. Now I'm fine with it now. It's like combining challenge in the game without being overly punishing. I'm also glad the achievements are meaningfully difficult.
I'm delighted to hear that Inafune, the creator of both Mega Man and Dead Rising, said that a sequel will come in the future... but not until he is available to produce it. He's happy farming out the Mega Man games to others these days. Dead Rising still has his heart.
I also bought Crackdown. It's a good game, but Dead Rising is better. Dead Rising feels more like a labor of love.
