Whoo hoo! Press!

Now back to the regularly scheduled Journal:
I'm late typing this journal, I couldn't type it yesterday. So tired. So here's yesterday's journal today.

Wildwood Bike Week. I was invited by TNS, to a gathering with company on an epic scale of coolness. Bryn (who I knowed already tongue kiss ), Druj, and Momma Dukes (who I didn't knowed before, but know now and they are totally fucking rad people biggrin ) Everyone was getting together on Saturday.

Problem:

My new job...I had to WORK on Saturday. 9-5. I worked the night before (til 8) after leaveing work Fri night, I got right to work...figuring out the route I should take, getting stuff together, CD's & sketches that were IMPERITIVE to the trip and coulnd't have been left behind...

Went to bed. Couldn't sleep (nervous...not looking forward to work) got up for work. So tired...

Work sucked so hard...there were so many customers there...and the ones that weren't annoying, were nice but never left... and the ones that weren't nice but never left were fucing screaming children (they should be out playing, not at Kinkos!)

That work day was so long... It stretched to a hellish eternity.
It. Never. Seemed. To. End. And...once it did. I got jazzed. DRive! To New Jersey!

I zipped to a gas station, filled the tank (the NY way, self serve wink )and tried to call TNS, but the payphone at that station was totally dead. "Fuck it! I'm going to get some miles put between me and This town first!"

Three hours later, just got off the phone with the partiers in an Allentown PA rest stop. I was fueled by a hot fire, It was 8 pm, I had been up for 12 hours straight. I was on a fucking roll. I will get there.

The driving took forever. I almost had a heart attack on the conjested Philly/Atlantic City highways... so many cars...will I get the right exit?

I get to the Garden State Parkway, and it's only about a 40 minute drive left before I get to my desination.
This drive. Never. Seemed. To. End. And once it did...I was so happy, but also so deleriosuly tired...

I meet up with "Momma Dukes". Such a freaking awesome person. She leads my tired weary self to the partyplace. I meet up with zee party people. Weary, but so releieved that I'm finally there.

I before i can get inside I see everyone. The moment I get inside I get a hug.
A hug that never. Seemed. To. End. And I didn't want it to end. But when it eventually did... I realised it wasn't long enough.

I get a nice smooth christianing shot of tequila. Can't say I've ever drunk Tequila before. Whiskey & Bourbon, Gin, even wine and other liquors I've had over my life have a real biting flavor that makes your throat feel like freshly ripped paper. This tasted like candy.

They handed me a Guinnes and told me to sit and close my eyes (which made it tough to find my guiness bottle again wink ) They threw a birthday party for me. God damn, I almost cried.

After going through weeks of feeling unsure if I might be able to get the day off to get down there...then deciding to go even though I have to work...then waiting through the work, then staying concious during the monotonous drive, to finally be here...at the point at the end of the waiting, and being so embraced in the literal and figurative sense... It was too much. My mind collapsed into near incoherance, I was so happy.

I was the last one there. Bikeweek was pretty much over. There were still partiers, still Biker gangs hanign out, showing their bikes, but everyone was winding down. Which was allright by me. I'm big fan of the winding down.

In any case, the reason that *I* went to bike week wasn't to see the bikes (which, don't get me wrong, they were cool...but) it was to be with my friends. The next few days were so comfortable, and fun, and sad, and filled with all the good things in life that made me want to just stay down there.

Now I'm back up here. I have to pick up where I left off last Saturday, and start my work week again. In two hours, I'll be at work again, and I have to start waiting again. Waiting for the next time I can be there again. I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle the waiting, but I know I have to. Because I can't afford to miss out.

Bryn, TNS, Druj, Momma, rock zee fuck on. I miss you all already

Well, I can check email--it's just SG that I can't get to. Grrr.

Chrono Cross is my favorite game of all time. I'm obsessed with it. Yay!
