Oh man. such a weird day.
This morning....from the time I wake up to the tme I get in the car to drive to work...EVERYTHING that could make me late, made me late. not hearing the ALARM... forgetting where things WERE, Finding my SHOES, etc etc.
but once I got driving...everything that could make me on time, made me on time., I hit EVERY green light. I didn't get cut off by anyone. The traffic was SO LIGHT.
The whole day was a teeter totter like that. Bad bad bad...but good good good...annoying annoyig annoying, therapudic, therapudic therapudic!
I had about a half an hour left in my work day...when I start hearing people's stories as they came intot he shop...widespread power outage...everywhere is out...From NYC up to Canada...
So my end of work email and SG therapy was denyed.
I was bummed...I had a lot of computer projects I was eager to work on...and couldn't. I moped for a while, got lectured at by a parental unit that moping doenst do anything...(which, true it doesn't...but you CAN'T just POP out of a mope mood. I hate it when people try to force me out of a mood by lecturing or saying "look at it this way..."
Anyway...I put up with the BS. I sketch till the sun goes down. My dad was able to convert power from his battery to the TV. the LAST Thing I wanted to do was watch TV with the parental units.
I got my discman. I got a few discs. I walked down to the Lake. I walked, watched the sun go down. It was fucking dark. I was bout 4 miles along before I realised that I could barely see anyhting ahead of me.
I follow the old paved road...trying to remember the route...the landmarks along the parkway, remember them from the last time I traveled along the road (I was about 12...) Seeing all the landmarks...with an errie night glow was BIZZARE and BEAUTIFUL. So creepy yet serene. NO ONE was around (except the random nighttime rollerblader)
I get to a bridge, that goes over the inlet...and the lights suddenly come on. a BIG RED AND GREEN light (for boats...so they don't crash into the bridge) come on... This is good! I can finally check email and SG!
but I have about 5.5 miles to walk to get back...fun.
ACtually it was kind of fun. I walked a route that took me back thgrough the vilage. I was singing along to Johnny Lee Hooker all the way in.
"One bourbon, one scotch, and one Beeeerrrr!"
"Boom boom boom boom!"
I'd like to know what people were thingking if they heard me. I ddin't care.
Now I'm back. I'm freaking exhausted too. MAN.
What a day. At least Id on't have to work till 3 tomorrow....

as for Muffin, he found a place, and neither of us ever would move in with the other. under pain of death.
