Gray Googly Mooglie.
OK, this journal WILL have shitloads of typos, and might be unreadable in parts. just so you know. Not drunk or high...just really ehausted. (which, I sometimes enjoy more than being drunk or high)...
Drove back from Ms. Byrns
lovely 4th of July tea party, we threw boxes of Lipton at hapless innocent bystranders. it was a good time. El-julio balsted em all wit' Lil'Julio (his squirtgun, not...you know...)
And much fun was had by all.
OK, we didn't throw Tea around. But there was waterfights, and good times had by all.
I kind of shifted to mind-dead zombie mode about 3/4 of the way through the day...I drove 5 hours to the SAndwich Isles, to Bryns Castle...thinking I'd be late...buit I was the first person there. hung out, had a great time...but you knw what happens when you stay awake for a long time.
hence the zombie mode. I apoligize to those whoi ere there that thought I was kinda creepy or an ass for being quiet and staring off into nothingness from about 10:30 pm onwards.
Lots of PArty stuff, conversations and Homestar Runner references later, it's morning on Saturday. Bryn made more great coffee, listened to awesome music by all of them, and DAYUM. it was good. And her voice rules all.
Hypnotic.
OK, well, hung around for a while longener, then it was time to go. Teary eyed farewells on the street (after I forgot a bunch of things and had to make a second trip upstairs). Then I made the trek to my car, with all my crap (I was lighter a 12 pack of Guiness, pakage of sausages and a bag of Ice...so it warn't that bad)
Started driving around, finding the highway that takes me home. Got lost. Oneway streets ALL over the damn place. all the roads are either wicked narrow one way streets, or long windy roads that take you to far off places and get yo more lost.
After an hour and a half, I finally found the highway and I was on the way home. I made two mix tapes for my car (yeah, tapes. Remember Those little retangular thing with the little gear/windy things that have that brown ribbon in it), One of the Damned, one of Solas. I blasted the last half o the Damned tape, then skipped around radio stations as I drove. Heard some kickass songs I havn't heard since grade school, and holy shit man. The scenery was amazing.
Driving out of the city initially, it's like driving through Jurrasic Park sans dinosaurs. TALL TALL green trees stretching way up. It's nice to have the green around. I wodnered for a momebt what this pplace would look like in the winter...then the thought was too depressing so I stopped.
Driving was good. raced through a cold front, wicked fast rain, starting and stopping within a minute. That was cool.
long time later, got back to Syracuse, and din't want to head home yet. Bought the Cowboy Bebop: Knockin on Heavens Door" US DVD, and decided to catch a movie. I could either get some dinner...but it's good I didn't becuase I would have missed the beginning o the movie if I did. What did I see?
28 DAYS LATER!!!!
fucking awesome. OK, All of you, Take this...
::::with an exhausted look on his face, clearly not with all his marbles...Chrono holds all the remaining $$$ that he can't afford to give out::::
And go see it now. FUCKING NOW!! The Best Xombie movie in an elf's age. Good good stuff. Very Romero esque in many parts...but I think more as a tribute than anything else. like Farscape or Buffy, it takes used standards and staples of classic stories...uses them, but puts it's own spin on it.
So good.
Now I'm up to speed. Exhauisted and typing really messily on my computimer.
Gotta make copies for Hellfest tomorrow.
TNS! Whats up man, good storie about coming gome. , er, home that is. Good to hear you caought a train. You're a wicked cool guy. Great to meet ya and stuff
