I had a long version of this story all written out, but then I messed up and accidently hit back, and I don't feel like typing it in again. Basically, I was moving a friend of mine into a new apartment, which was about a block from his old apartment. Another friend, Chris, and I decide to take the bicycles, as one of the last things. We ride to the tennis court that seperates the two complexes, but Chris says "Lets ride around the block, have some fun." So we do, but turning into the exit of the complex, I find out the brakes on this bike don't actually work.

List of damages:
left leg is cut in three places from pushing the bike out from under me and trying to get my right foot to the ground to attempt to stop.
right leg has road rash a bit and missing about a square inch of flesh from my big toe.
chipped front tooth
a lot of damage to the truck. my face is hard

life sucks. i'm alone and highly medicated...just found out the damage to the truck is gonna cost me $500,
