I got a new kitten! He is a very cute, brown and black tabby, and very cuddly, but also playful.
However my wonderful Kodora, a 2 year old female, is not nearly as pleased as the rest of us. She's spent the entire time yowling and hissing and acting very afraid of the kitten who weighs, oh, about 6 times less than she does (she's a fatso, but we're working on that, special food in limited quantities.). I posted in the Kitties group for advice, but if anyone else has some, feel free.
We got the kitten mainly so that our other cat wouldn't be so lonely during the day and would get more exercise and such.

The only upside is that his party is a minority government - so he's going to have to fight an awful lot to get things accomplished.
my mom breeds show cats; the best idea for getting the older cat adjusted is to keep her in a carrier and out them in a room (like the bathroom) so they can get closer without hurting each other, but get used to scents and whatnot.
It really just takes time - Kodora just feels like her territory is being invaded
