In good news: I AM THE KING OF MUSICAL CHAIRS!
In bad news: I had to retire from the sport, as it has become too violent and this latest injury to my knee has left me limping for days.
So what sort of loser plays musical chairs? The type of loser who works for a corporation that wants its employees to interact in a more fun way at least once a day to build more connections between them and such. I dunno if I like the idea or not, but winning still kicks ass.
Other than that life has been really good, got a raise a semi-promotion, etc. Actually looking at it, I've just been good, life hasn't. My wife is really depressed. It sucks.
I don't know how many of you have been really depressed or been around those who have been. Its probably the worst thing I've ever had to deal with. Chronic depression is pretty much a life sentence. You can't tell the person that it'll get better....just that there are going to be times that it'll get better, even be months in a row...but at some point relatively soon it'll come back and nothing is going to matter, prevent it, lessen it, nothing.
It is so hard watching her TRY so hard to enjoy something. She tries so hard to hide the fact that she's not enjoying things. She tries to not let me know how bad it is, but it shows, I know her too well. The harder I try to make things enjoyable and fun th e worse it is for her because it just means she has to try and enjoy them and pretend to enjoy them.
It sounds like an impossible situation...and honestly it is, but I love her too much to ever give up on her like her parents mostly did. They just did their best to ignore her when she got like this and get her to someone who would give her meds to help as much as they can. Which they do...but she builds up an immunity to them after awhile. Has to continue upping doses and trying new things which may or may not be better than what she's on currently.
I'm just venting a bit...not complaining, nothing like that, just getting a bit off my chest. It is a heavy load sometimes, but more than worth bearing.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Next time you're in Jax, you wanna go have lunch, maybe sashimi and plum wine? There's a really swell little place right next door to me I think you'd like.
Thanks for the well wishes...I'll be okay, just gotta persevere, ya know?
And if you ever meet any of those kids or parents, give them another slap from me.
