oh, i know how that feels. social services has got to be, emotionally, one of the hardest fields to work in. i've done a lot of volunteer work with street kids, and while there are a few who have managed to improve their lives, there are so many that i still see on the streets. it breaks my heart.

Nothing wrong with listening to music of questionable quality. If you are choosing to listen to it, then that must be reason enough for the music to serve its purpose. I just listened to Robert Palmer... maybe not the best artist out there, but sometimes the guys lacking brilliance are so interesting (although I do think Robert Palmer is pretty cool). Or simply fun to listen to.
