I want to be comfortable again.

I feel like there's something very wrong with me. Can sombody tell me if I'm just being paranoid, or if there is indeed something very wrong with me? Thank you.

Isn't there something wrong with being paranoid? Isn't this sort of a damnedifyoudo/damnedifyoudon't sort of question?
residue:
paranoid is what keeps us going,
who needs comfort? to fall back into paranoid again after a while?
nooo ...

Portland no longer agrees with me.
requiem:
If you want help kicking Portland's ass, let me know.
avanttard:
I have a love/hate relationship with Portland. Haven't been there in years though.

Thanks for the comment. Your timing was perfect.

I hung out with hippies last night. I have never done that before. (Evergreen hippies do not count). They had excellent food though. The guy who had it made, like, 10 pies. Other stuff too, but it was the pies that really made an impression.

I got some super sleep last night, which I really needed, and a very filling lunch today, which I also really needed. I'm trying to not be super shy and come off as a bitch to the people I work with. This is especially important because I have a big, platonic crush on one of these people. I am in love with her. Crushes are...

aw, c'mon, there's gotta be something. i know there are good shows at the vera project, tho i think they just moved and i don't know where to. and... and....

er, i see what ya mean.

honestly, tho, i don't go out like that much. i usually just hang out with friends at their houses, or go have dinner with 'em, or hang out at the beach and stuff. if you want, i could hook you up with a friend of mine who's underage, if you don't mind a naive, self-concsious gay boy prone to fits of giddiness. wink

but seriously, he'd love to know someone else underage that he can hang out with.
tryptamine_____:
Super shy huh? not just regularly shy? wink

i'm usually shy when i first meet people, but once i feel comfortable, i get talkative. are you more shy than that?

anyway, if you want to get in touch with him, let me know, okay? he goes along with even my most random and absurd ideas, so i'm sure he'd be up for it.

I moved today and now I feel all sore and tired and crappy. I also am really resenting being underage right now. I think I'm going to go to bed and resign myself to the fact that the next eleven months, at least, are going to be like this.

what's being underage if you have, er, overage friends? wink

Well your done with moving and you only have one more year to go. Thats always the longest one. Sit down listen to some Cohen and relax. Not to mention bars are over rated. Hope you feel better.
Cheers

I saw Morrissey tonight! Whenever he's been in the area before, I've been out of it. And once when I was 15, I had a ticket, and I was screwed out of it frown But that's another story.

Anyway. WOW. I knew he was pretentious and flamboyant and swishy, but I did not know how bad it was. I still love him though. They played a...

Someone's profile picture got me thinking about this:
What are the most unusual/exotic places you have visited or lived in?

This is the only way I ever impress anyone. I have lived in: Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, and the UAE; the other places I have lived are neither unusual nor exotic.

I have visited: more places than I can keep track of, but some highlights were...

I got bitten by the travel bug somethign fierce when I was up even just in Canada. Looking at the states from the outside makes you realize how absurd our whole situation is. That was just reinforced even more when I lived in New Zealand for a while. Now I want to go everywhere. Break out of this "Hey, Hey, USA!!" mold that is so suffocating here.

And don't sell yourself short. . . I'm POSITIVE you can impress folks lots of other ways then just with tales of the UAE. wink
tryptamine_____:
wow. no wonder i like ya. i always seem to get along better with people who are either not from the states or whom have travelled a lot outside of it.

i myself have only been to wa, or, ca, and mn. i was in idaho for a couple hours once. i used to go to canada a lot when i was a kid because i had an "uncle" up there, but i haven't been there since i was like, 11. oh, and i've been to sweden. but i've lived in washington for 21 of my 22 years. the other year i lived in astoria, or. smile

Is it terribly sad that I've spent the better part of my Saturday night packing stuff into boxes and messing with pretty flower pictures on photoshop? Eh, better that I do something productive than go out and try (and fail) to have fun. There was a time when I had a whole lot of fun, but I think I was drunk through all of it....

So I'm officially moving on the 24th. I hate finalizing things. It automatically multiplies the stress I feel over whatever it is I've finalized.

Today I got up and ate and showered and did laundry, an dthen I just wanted to go back to bed and stay there all day. Or all week. Whatever. My bed was all warm (but not too warm) and soft...

Yesterday I went with a friend to visit another friend in Seattle. She made us blackberry milkshakes, and then we went to a big lake to go swimming, which was really really fun. I love swimming, but chlorine does bad things to my skin and eyes, so I can't go as much as I'd like to. Swimming in lakes, though, is perfect. I wish I...

I picked up a hitcher on the way home, and he asked if I smoked. Why do all hitchers ask if I smoke? I told him I had class in the morning. Then some guy pulled up by us at a light and told MY PASSENGER to learn to drive. He seemed pretty pissed.
requiem:
If they're bummin' a ride it seems natural that they'd try to bum a smoke too. Or maybe "Do you smoke?" is some sort of hitchhiker double entendre...
noncomdrone:
I think that a hitcher using "do you smoke" as a double entendre has the rules of the road completely backwards.

I did a really shitty thing. I knew it was a horrible thing to do, and I did it anyway, because I didn't want to deal with something that the other options entailed.

Ever do something like that?

My big brother just broke up with his girlfriend of almost three years a few days ago. We don't usually talk about personal stuff like that (my...

Hmmmm. . . As long as it was just the one shitty thing. If there were other shitty things associated with that one shitty thing, you should definitely fess up. Otherwise, just promise to never ever do it again, and it's all good. wink
