I fell in the shower and hurt my back last night.
I've been getting these chlls and shaking like a leaf late at night. And all I want to do is hurry up and get to bed.
But I have to do things first. Last night I had to shower because i hadn't earlier because of the DIY feast. Anyway, I was in thr shower and shaking - my entire body. And I had no energy and I knew I might fall - and I did. I hit the side of the tub with the left side of my back. I was in terrible pain! This affects more than just the left side of my back though.
Anyhow, I forced my self to finish, dry off and put my clothes back on before calling 911, because I didn't want to be caught and carried away naked. The hospital is just about a block or two from here. EMS got here and saw that I was ambulatory and decided not to put me on a stretcher. But that's the one thing I couldn't have done any way because I found out later at the hospital that I couldn't lie down on a bed or what ever you want to call it anyway - because of the pain.
The doctor gave me a ten day prescription for a muscle relaxer.
I caught a cab along with a black woman. He took her home first and then took me to CVS. CVS's computer was down I waited for about 15 min. I guess. Then the cab driver came in. He was upset. He was missing rides and there were only 3 or 4 cabs out last night . Westlake cabs that is.
By the way, the voices were also terrorizing me. And I don't hear voices that much these days.
So, we went to Walgreens and I got my medication. I wound up having to pay the cab driver $20.00. And it's $4.00 anywhere in Lakewood, $2.00 was a tip.
I was in terrible pain! Still am. I probably shouldn't be sitting here typing this. It's hard on my back.
I got back home and decided to be extra nice to my cat beacause she's all I've got.
Coughing causes more pain and when I smoke I cough - but I'm still smoking.
I slept in my easy chair. I remember looking at at the cable clock and not thinking much of it when it said 4:30.
Then the significance of it hit me. I've been sleeping and resting all day and night. Haven't had much to eat. Don't know when I'll bathe again, yes bathe. But I quit bathing because of my skinny bottom. And sleeping so much in my easy chair is hard on my neck.
Well, that's the end for now. I could say more but don't want to because of my back.
Oh! I hope the V.A. pays for this!
P.S. I don't know if I'll be okay when the muscle relaxers are gone. I'm supposed to follow up at theV.A.
But I have to go through emergency at the V.A. And emergency at the V.A. is a real nightmare. My neck is in more pain now than my back.
