10 days from now: Monday October9,2006 I will be doing an hour of my original poetry at Lakewood Public Library at 7:00p.m. That's the west side of Cleveland. The address is 15425 Detroit Ave. Doors open at 6:30p.m. My readings as I say in my Signature poem are designed to leave you with nothing but a smile. The poetry is {among other things} sensual, humorous and spiritual. Sometimes all three at the same time. I don't see why the sensual and the spiritual have to be opposed or anathema to one another. The poems are also Romantic and sometimes sad. There isa huge variety of style and subject matter. I have two poems, one funny, one sad about cats. And one about snot. I will be reading from my book: Prelude To Triumph - 40 poems. It will be about an hour. I hope somebody shows up!!! If any SG girls or members are going to be in the area - you are welcome and I wish you would come. It is FREE!!! I also wanted to add in this blog and not in the comment that I posted but didn't know how at the time, that I have a very popular poem entitled "Sophia Loren's Panties". And I have a letter from her in regard to a collection of poems I sent her in which she says:"I hope you will soon reach that success your talent deserves." And I also have a letter written explicitly on Pope John Paul II's behalf by a Monsignor in The Vatican in regard to the poem "To My Father", a love poem to God, in which His Holiness thanks me for the poem and says that he, Pope John Paul, will pray for me and invoke God's blessings upon me. I expect he's in Heaven now and I expect and hope he is still putting in a good word with God for me - and all of us. This blog was just updated Friday October 6 - three days from my reading. Anyone who reads this and really wants to hear good poetry is welcome to come.
