city life is hard to take
when meeting real people
leaves you sifting through the fake
it's all i seem to see these days
instead of choosing life
you end up in an alley
on the wrong side of a knife
wishing for a saviour
but no one comes to help you
who's gonna come to help you?
they've all been pushed away
made to wait in the corner like a kid that won't behave
but they should be in your corner
don't forget the importance
of the people who are there for you

i never want to see this
happen to another human being
it's so frustrating when there's
no help you can give for what you're seeing
and we've all been through this before
locked out with no key for the door
watching with bleeding hearts
as one more fades away
i think it's time for a change

some people like it hard
some people like it fast
some people just don't like it
cause they're aware that it won't last
and you should know that it won't last
you'll still come down when time has passed
and you think there's no one there for you
and if you keep up that might be true
cause the harder that you fall, the deeper is the hole
and you'll be six feet under looking back with what you know
and wishing that you walked down someone else's path
so your life of hedonism didn't kick you in the ass

i never want to see this
