I GOT A JOB!!!!!!!!

Okay, hi. So today I went down to Hot Topic, where one of my best friends works. She had told me to go down and she would refer me. It took me like a million years to fill out an app, but I finished it and went in to talk to the manager. They put me through all this business...like what to do if I suspected a shoplifter, pick out an outfit etc. A lot of crap. Before I left, I asked an employee how many hours they were willing to give. He said about 5-15. WTF? All that for 15 hours, at most?
Needless to say, I left the mall thoroughly depressed. I picked up my boyfriend and went to Wahoo's. I get a call from a 212 area code. I'm like...isn't that New York? I pick it up and it's a girl from Zara, a new store opening at South Coast Plaza in May. It's a little upscale, Banana Republic/Bebe/Nordstom prices. I only went to the job fair cause I had nothing better to do. I BSed my through the interview and said I had been to their Vegas location (I have never been to Vegas). I know the girls liked me cause they had me fill out all this employee paperwork but I never really thought about it.
So, they offered me a job at $8.50 an hour with salary raises every 3 months (if you're good) and management opportunities. I start my (paid) training on May 3rd and have 2 weeks at 40 hours a week for that. Then I have 2 days with ALL the employees, then we open the store May 27th.
So I'm SO excited and relieved. Thank you to everyone that wanted to help with job stuff..go ahead and erase your numbers so no creep calls you.
I am SOOOOOOO happy. :big grin:
Oh and by the way my friend just called me...I got the job at Hot Topic. Hahah sorry, I only applied there out of desperation. MUAHHAHAHAHAHAH!
