So, after my last post (and all of the great advice I've gotten) I decided to try to find some part time work here in Lafayette. It will reduce the time I'll have to spend in Baton Rouge and also give me the chance to do what I really love. It was so surreal how I found the ad. I had been passing by this spa for several months because its literally walking distance from my sister's house. Its actually a converted funeral home in my own hometown, and the space has the coolest energy I've ever felt. Anyway, I tried to see if the place had a website by doing just a general search, and an ad popped up saying that they were looking for LMTs. I called immediately and asked if I could drop off my resume. I interviewed yesteday, and I have to go back today to show them what I can do. Its just a formality, and I'm pretty sure I've got the job. The owner has already asked me to start on Tuesday, and she doesn't mind that I still see clients in Baton Rouge. I have slightly more experience than the other therapist, but she's a little younger than me. She seems to be really nice. That's been a problem for me in the past. I don't like it when other therapists feel territorial. I can get my own clients, thank you.

So, my super talented hands are my favorite part of me this week. I'm so glad to be able to do what I want to do, even if I still have to do the other job.
