Oh me oh my!
I'm one nervous girl.
For the last ten months, I have been in a yoga teacher training course. I have gone from not knowing anything about yoga 'cept it makes you bendy, to being able to create my own level 3 sequences and understanding many aspects of viniyoga.
Our final consists of writing and refining a level 3 sequence, and then teaching it over an hour and a half to our classmates.
Over half of the students have already taught their practices, mostly flawlessly. It's my turn tomorrow, and I have been dreading it for weeks. I'm so fucking nervous. I've spent all day writing my practice out and practicing teaching it to my cat. He's not the best student, he pretty much ignores me, and he probably couldn't even do a forward bend around all that pudge. I *know* I'll probably do all right, but I'm nervous I'm going to mess up, or sound like a dumbass, or freeze and break down in tears, or fart and start my period in front of the class. It's the nerves that are killing me. And I'll be shaky and moist with an accelerated heart rate until it is over tomorrow, and that sucks. puke
I don't know how much more practicing I should do. Should I just chill out and watch tv? Should I go over and over the sequence until dawn? Should I take this anti-anxiety pill I forgot I had? Should I just say fuck it and get up early tomorrow? Should I just leave town and skip out on the whole thing?
