i need a 2nd job.
Something i can do from home whenever i have time.
I applied to work on a chatline, since peole always tell me my accent is sexy, so we'll see.
Just a little depressed today, realizing how much its going to cost to fly home and visit the family for 2 weeks frown

I had a good run today.
Ive decided that once a week im going to do a reasonable run through the park thats in the 10 miler and half marathon.
Its a killer all 3-4 miles of it is up and down steep hills.So I went there today and ran 6.5 miles thorugh the park, its a rough estimate, but I definately ran 2 laps....

I ran the Papa Johns 10 Miler today, this is the 2nd time ive run it in the short time ive been running.

So my week has been pretty uneventful...
My mother sucks because she obviously doesnt pay attention to any emails I send her.
I told her I was considering joining the Navy reserves, she writes back saying "ohh be careful, if you join the marine reserves you have a good chance of being deployed."

My brother has been the navel reserves for the last sixteen years and he has less then favorable things to say about it. Just be careful talking to the recruiter and dont sign anything! These guys are train to sweet talk people into the military. Theres no such thing as free money for school. It always has strings attached. Also, they can deploy you in the middle of a school semester. My brother is at Camp Pendleton, California right now playing war games in the desert. Which is kind of funny since hes trained as a barge helmsman. Theres a lot of barge work in a desert. Thats a good example of military thinking or lack of. Ive been in the air guard for nineteen years and some of the goofy shit the military does still surprises me.

Just be careful and if you still want to sign on the dotted line, ask to attend a weekend drill and talk to some of the E-4s and E-5s in the unit. Youll get a good idea of what youre getting yourself into. smile

So todays Run is over and boy am I tired.
I finished the 10k in 1 hr 17 mins which is a nice improvement on last year.
I shaved off about 10 minutes and I felt pretty good running.
So thats 2 races down, 2 more to go. smile
