there are a lot of copperheads where i live. some fellow grad students live in a house in the woods by a lake and see them all the time there. well, last night one of them accidentally stepped on onet. the guy was lucky to not have been bitten, but unfortunately the snake was not so lucky.

seeing as how we are the reptile people, myself and my bossman were called to the scene today. it was an unbelievably gorgeous snake, but very, very sick. intestinal tissue was hanging out of it's cloaca and it was extremely lethargic. so.....the bossman is going to give it a lethal dose of ketamine to put it out of it's suffering.

this makes me very sad.

Well shit, Ishould read your journal entry while I'm here. That is really sad about the snake. At least your boss has the knowledge to end its suffering quickly. That really sucks. Sorry babes. frown

that is massive sucks. I like snakes...not the poisonous ones particularly. I had a kingsnake for about three years, she was awesome. After I fed her she would curl around my arm and doze off. She was the sweetest.
I like the new picutre btw.
