I hope you got my message. Don't let those bastards touch your car, even if you have to have it towed somewhere else. They're seriously trying to screw you over. Now that I thought about the series of events you describe. It doesn't work that way at all. Find someone you can trust. This happens all the time. There are only a couple of people I will let touch my car if I can't do it, for some reason. If you need more info, feel free to write.
