Gar!
All my shopping is done and over. I got lucky ( or maybe unlucky ) depending on how you look at it. But, my folks had come home early from their trip. So, when I stopped by their house to feed their cat, fish, and wild neighborhood animals. I found them there too. I went about explaining to them, that feeding them wasn't part of the deal. But, with them back it meant I could get my father to use his truck for my x-mas buying splurg!
Turned out however, that their fridge died on them the day before. So, I told them to get dressed and come with me so they could pick out a new one for their christmas gift. Heh. You'd think that would have made my mother happy. But, what really got her grinning was when I said.. ( Yes, this is coming from me. ) " Let's go to Crackle Barrel for breakfast." ( Did the world just end? ) Well, those of you that are new to my journal may not know my distaste of that place. Made the folks happy though, and that's all that really matters.
So, I ended up spending the day with them. Got their fridge after checking six different stores. Nabbed a gift for my nephew along the way and my sister 'n niece are getting stuck with a card and cash. I really wasn't in the mood by that point to fight the mall and traffic just to pick out things I have no clue over.. So, money is the gift of choice from me. They're used to it. And, don't really mind I imagine.
On a side note. I got a nice large fire bowl for my porch. So, now I can do things like burn off my eyebrows trying to light firewood.. Whatever that stuff is. hah!
Just incase I'm not posting tomorrow.. Everyone stopping by here. Have yourself a wonderful Christmas holiday. And, if you don't celebrate.. Well.. Have a bloody damn good day anyways!!!
