THat said, off the top of my head, i think buddhism would be one of the few to survive my terrible campaign against organized religion. But there is a problem. I respect the whole harmony between living creatures, but i don't like insects. And you know what? If they enter my abode i feel they've waived their right to exist and that of a quick and painless death.
I go into my kitchen and turn on the lights. My eyes are already peeled as i see them scrambling behind the stove. I purposely drive them toward it and then when they are close enough *bam*.. BLAZE.. the little bastards are on their backs spasming. I continue my medieval torture till.....well.... i get bored or there is nothing left of them.
My concern is, do insects warrant our pitty? is this act of cruelty on my part on par with those sick little fucks who torture kitties and then end up becoming homicidal maniacs? I don't think so.

I'm a vegetarian, but I think anything that invades my home and lives off of me in a parasitic way is at my mercy. And I have NO MERCY!!! Yeah, insects, rodents, whatever, if it is a pest I will try to kill it. I do usually leave spiders alone, they help me keep the pests out or at least they eat the ones that do come around.
