Well, fun stuff has been going on here.

One of my crew got hurt last night on the job. He has watercuts (i'm sure not many know about water cuts...but they are pretty nasty and have to be treated at the hospital as a gunshot wound) on his forearm and across his side. He's lucky he didn't get killed.

However, a storm of shit has now befallen my company and my crew out here.

There's a huge meeting in La Porte now, and the owner of our company is flying in from Ohio in the morning. Things don't look very good. We sent the guys working with him into work tonight and they were told to "get the fuck out" as soon as they arrived.

If we lose our texas contracts, our company is finished.

...I'm worried that i'm gonna go from an excellent position in an awesome company to saying "Do you want fries with that?"

ok, so water cuts:

We're Hydroblasters. It's kinda like pressure washing, but we use SO much pressure (between 10,000 20,0000 and 40,000 lbs) that we can cut throuhg flesh, bone, metal, rock, etc., and he got cut with one of our blasters across his arm and abdomen. He's ok, tho. it grazed his gut, but his arm might need some surgery.

Whats worse, other than how it absolutely demolishes the area where the water hits you, is that it forces air and water into your skin.

The plant water is non-potable. It's not sanitary, probably has god knows what in it, and it's been forced into his body along with a big pocket of air. They have to treat it like a gunshot wound, as well as cut a giant slit through the middle of the wound and open you up to let the water "drain" out of you.

It's...nasty stuff. I've had water cuts, but none bad enough for all of that.

It's one of like 8722839752083570128375012 hazards on our job.
