So I have to renew my study permit to stay in the country, and I get all the documents together and photocopy my passport, and I look at the current study permit, and it says "Expires July 31, 2003." Oops. 
Thought I had another month to do it. Now I have to pay an extra $200 to be "reinstated." Blah. I know it's my fault, but it's still a pisser.
Saw "Capturing the Friedmans" today. Great film, but it leaves you with way too many questions. Did Arnie do it? Did Jesse do it? It makes me happy to see that there's a family out there that's crazier than mine.

As for trains, I try to avoid anything that says "Amtrak" on it. One too many bad experiences.
At least they serve wine though.
