Hey everyone, I just wanted to do a quick intro post before I decide exactly what content I’d like to focus on. I’m John, I’m 29, and I’m trying hard to find purpose through art and creativity in this otherwise dull and monotonous existence.

Music plays a big role in my life. I can vibe to basically any genre, but I always go back to Bright Eyes, Elliott Smith, and mewithoutYou. Guess I’ll always be a sadboi at heart. Recently I’ve been listening to a lot of Dark Ambient and more Shoegaze-y stuff like How To Disappear Completely, Matt Elliott, and Have a Nice Life.

Anxiety and Depression have unfortunately been a burden throughout my life as well. I’m always open to talk to anybody going through hard times and wanted to say that anybody can always reach out to me if they need someone to talk to. I’m just coming out of a pretty bad time myself and have lost a lot, but I’m hoping to write more, make some new friends here, and keep moving forward.

I’ve always loved the concept of SG, to me it’s like the ultimate form of expression. We all know that your body is your greatest canvas, but I don’t think there’s any better way to express yourself. Your body’s art is the symbolism and ongoing story of one’s self. Photosets are their own form of art as well. The progression of your facial expressions and body language can tell a story that words fail to. Combine these two concepts and you can invoke so many different feelings and emotions among the viewer and probably yourself as well.

So far I’ve had a good time interacting with those that I have, and I’m happy to be here. This seems like a super supportive and friendly community and I’d love to be a part of it as well. I’m hyped to meet new people that feel the same way about art and creativity as I do.
