Weighing it up
Good things
The New Baileys Ad - love it, love my physical theatre, love the style, simple neat, enjoyable, actually had to try and record it about three or four times before I got it. Not the world's worst drink either.
Julian Burnside Q.C >- his comment during Insight (forum TV show on SBS) nearly bought a tear to my eyes, he neatly summed up an issue that leaves me fuming and frothing quite often. In the last five years "terrorism" (the redefined terrorism) has killed a couple of thousand people. That is not to say that each of those deaths wasn't tragic, but when you weigh it up against other causes of death it is quite minor factor. When you think about that four hundred billion dollars U.S has been spent on the "War on terror" you have to wonder whether the money couldn't have been better spent. Thank you Julian Burnside Q.C, defender of free speech and intelligent debate (I did paraphrase, I
didn't have time to record it I was too busy cheering).
fixing my speaker now I get sound out of both speakers, how embarassing, it took me this long. I assumed I broke the speaker, I guess wrong.
Yaz completely random act of kindness, its so much more enjoyable when you can't see it coming. Thank you.
Taxi my favourite restaurant took out the Restaurant of the year in Age Good food Guide. Huzah! I guess that it's going to make an already expensive restaurant that's difficult to get a table at, slightly more expensive and slightly more difficult to get a table at. Humm, don't know whether that's a good thing.
Bad things
Friend not them as people but a couple of friends have had it pretty hard in the last couple of weeks, all you can do unfortunately is give hugs and try to comfort, but hey, I do care for all that is worth, hopefully something.
job situation - my employment case manager is telling me on some levels to give up and aim for a mundane career that will long term lead to more mundanity, not pleasent, particularly because I'm quite aware of the fact that I feel pretty helpless now.
that little furry problem if you don't know what I mean don't ask, it has nothing to do with body hair, or hair on my body of ANY sort.
Floating feeling as though I'm just going along doing stuff, nothing new and nothing special, no direction etc. Better than drowning, but I am starting to feel as though as the lack of control thing is getting to me. I just want that one special event to happen (yes I know it doesn't, I'm not that silly, but here's to hoping), just some stimulus to jolt my creative juices (not a great image hey??)
Overall assessment
I guess looking at it I'm slightly ahead thank you Yaz ,
I am definitely seeing VNV on Saturday, and hopefully I'll get around to seeing Charlie and Chocolate Factory soon amongst so many other films. Still want that random enjoyable event to happen.
Just want to stop floating, because it inevitabily leads to drowning. Would rather swim thank you or fly.
