Okay today, the recently turned 19 year old decided it would be fun to be pretend to be indian on the phones, along with the idea she couldn't understand said what was being said to her (after all being indian, she can't speak or understand english properly)....

Okay just doing that in the cubicle I don't mind (as annoying and basically unfunny as it is), but there are at least six people who regularly correspond with our department from the sub-continent, so I sat there dreading it for a while, trying to hint that this was a really bad idea. Eventually the discussion got loud enough for our TL to come over and take aside to have a talk to her. I tried to explain to her why this joke was making me uncomfortable, her comment was if anything had gone badly it would have fallen on her and would have no effect on anyone else...

Jesus fucking christ, I don't know what I can say, shit, you think people are going to assume that everyone else in the department had no idea what you were doing. Your actions are obviously only going to reflect on you. Fuck and I'm the introvert, maybe I should start behaving like an aussie bogan and reach across and grope her *shudder* because after all that's what aussie bogans do and its only a joke right?
