Anyway in this post the word gorgeous shall be used a lot.
There's a good reason why I'm 95/5. Most boys don't do it for me, and whilst I'm just as fussy on the other side, I will say pretty much every girl at the ball looked gorgeous.
Damn it, I've met Allura twice but in those two meetings (this years ball and last years ball), I'm convinced though she would look gorgeous in the proverbial potato sack (even if it was filled with potatoes) and even though I can imagine her in a pair of grubby overalls with a shifter, there are some people in this world who just know what looks fantastic on them and she is most definitely one of them. All class.
lelaina, lelaina, done, who looked gorgeous (particularly loved the hair), and whose name I forgot to mention
(added in fourth edit, how embarrassing).
Great to see Kye again at the ball she was looking both comfortable and gorgeous as was the rest of that posse, the lovely _indigo_ and she who carried the peace pipe (reshizzle).
Disappointed that Albi couldn't make it, you will come down to Melbourne, and I will meet you...one day
I believe I tormented the following people during the ball with my presence (besides those I met before this ball of course, you have no right to claim unknown torture, you've met me at least once).
Daeos, trinityjane101 (you made your own costume, I remember that, I think?), Vodkasocks (who kicks arse for any number of reasons not the least of which is the fact that she mentioned to me an organic venison farm
and of course that hair), malana who I'm embarassed to say, I remembered the fact she had only joined the site 7 days ago, but I completely forgot her username, remembered her though, she's one fun-loving squaw. Really good to yak with.
RubyFoo, whose costume was as impressive as I expected hers to be. Lexiphanic who I don't think I really got a chance to talk to, (have to think harder next time), but somehow ended up in a couple of photos he was shooting, Goldfish who was another brief conversation, milli and allure much the same, all gorgeous all costumes gorgeous, ampersand, Helly (who looked kind of stressed, but I could have imagined that), speedway74 who I kept on saying that he was meant to have joined Damnation_game dinner plan the night before.
Also met SG sway didn't know she was an SG (not to see she didn't look drop dead gorgeous, but just didn't know, didn't care), I just remembered because of the hair piece (the colour of it, and the glasses, and the photo). My memory is apparently very shitty.
lu_doll who I gushed at on the way out of there, but had to cut the conversation short because I didn't know whether I could get a lift the hell out of there if I didn't grab the one I had then. I think I commented on lowroller's poker skills, I don't think he was overly fussed. crimsonpetals who I didn't know was going to ball and yes she's even more beautiful in real life than she looks in her pics, I think she was wearing a pink corset (or at least something pink on top),leothedriver before the ball, and someone (I believe female) who was wearing beppo's tag in honour of him. I just can't remember who.
Ran into sickorsane, traceelement, blakemitchell (who ranted about bands he never wants to manage and the Espy), Steven who looks so much more relaxed compared to last year, maybe its the fact he's no longer the head of SGAU, (refer to previous paragraph) who had a camera and a grin to match, babyfirefly and boy (shane) who I hope I didn't harass in any manner, hope... Tez (who I believed stroked my hair, but I could be wrong), cleverthings (who handed me a hat to sign), Bridehead who told me I missed out on seeing her in a considerably more glorious outfit, alas I do believe her, TFOK, but somehow I manage to um, miss his lap dance extravaganza, saw boombambi (once again the man was born to wear a garter belt and pull it off
).
I nearly forgot to say brainstorma (that's embarassing, he's a memorable enough human being, why did I nearly forget?) platypuz of course who's a great guy, I've said it once I'll say it again so there, and I managed to forget the sherriff but I have issues with authority figures, you looked impressive and thanks for alcohol contribution.
Sad also not to see the following people there mattscope, radioBirdman and Iridescent_ReD there.
On the sunday, woke up, chuckled at my own idiocy, went out on the patio, and finally worked out how to do the 20's charlston with the foot swivelling thing whilst mildly hungover. Must have looked mad, small asian guy on a patio, wildly swinging arms whilst doing a 20's charlston.
Got back to Melbourne, Went to see the Cure, ran into a couple (a couple) of friends on the way there, also ran into someone's little sister before that, saw missshell and little sis at concert, morgannahh got excited (finally
) and raved and gushed during the concert.
Except for the $43 cab ride at the end because I missed my train by 5 minutes and the vomiting it was all good.
I'll live. Now I'm on beans and rice for the majority of this week.
I think I met others/ran into others, but as usual, details I remember, names I'm fucking useless at. Anyway enough, this post stretches over 10 hours just because I went to sleep halfway through it. And its heading into the TLDNR category. But I'm ranting.
