Eep, just had to change one word, to make the question what I meant blush I don't know how I did that???

Now for something completely different, but equally as morbid (it is me after all).

I've recently finished a script about the usual kind of things I apparently seem to write about.
Anyway gotten generally positive feedback (which is not the issue, because pos or neg, isn't the issue unless its all, that's a god damn piece of crap, its unreadable, get over yourself, pops up in which case I need to seriously look at it...)

but I sent it off to a friend of my mums. She's currently a lecturer at RMIT (with tenure) in feminist crimminology and sociology so I was interested to see her opinion on the script. The script's basic setup is a male who has started abusing his daughter who is confronting his abuser who happened to be a female friend of his mother.

Her first email response can be summed up as "sorry, I couldn't read it because I found the idea that a woman would abuse a child for 5 or 6 years implausible saying she had never known a case of this ever occuring, she then suggested (I don't know how seriously) she would have been more comfortable if the older abuser had been the usual male, and she apologised for been unable to get past her biases."

My reply started off as "sorry but been a philosphical feminist I'm not going to change that, and I then went on to point out I wasn't offended by her views, and understood citing the example of a close friend of mine who I tried to rope in to doing the reading for me refused, because she wasn't comfortable with it. I also commented that I wondered how many other people would find the same hurdle.

Her reply was that she might be a "philosphical" feminist (which I wasn't commenting on, I don't think that's her stance and I wouldn't think I'm in any position to comment on her position) and that been in her position she had known about many cases of men assaulting young girls and had many girls come forward in her class and maybe I should consider asking my friend why she refused to do read it (which she hadn't ,she just refused to do the reading)

*Sigh* I now am trying to explain to her, that I wasn't calling her a philosphical feminist, but was saying I was (and then trying to explain my stance), that I had some inkling of why the friend might have refused to do the reading (but I'm not going to ask, she's very private, that's her business).

Anyway in summary, to people out there, I want to know is how implausible is that hypothetical setup for you? The idea that a woman could sexually abuse a male child for six year?

Be honest, I know on a lot of levels I'm working against the grain, but I have to know how much.
