Talk about uncomfortable.
I was at a wake today, and the topic of discussion came around to what I've been doing as of late, to which the general reply is I recently finished a full length play script.

The next question generally asked is what is it about...

Anyway though it was nice to get more info, and useful, and it made people think about things (which is the main point of me writing this script anyway), it was an odd place to have this discussion, and with an odd group of people.

Basically I was talking with a man who counsels men who have been sexually assaulted, another of the people involved in the discussion was one of my mum's friends who is a feminist lecturer in sociology at RMIT, who immediately inquired as to the reasoning about the sex of perputrators and why I chose it and did I think it was realistic.

The counsellor suggested that I attend an event run by the organisation so that I could get more research, and also just in case I wanted it that any of the people involved in the organisation could have a look at the script and give it the once over for anything that would be considered highly inaccurate.

It just felt odd to be discussing at a wake. Really odd.
