No more angry posts for the year (or at least I'll try, hell I should aim for no more posts, but this gives me an excuse for my LJ friends not to hear my rants (and vice versa). Just finished Anansi boys, Picked it up about two days ago after getting through the Pratchett books I pilfered last week (guards, guards, guards, The colour of magic, Wyrd Sisters, and the Reaper man I think, but I'm tired so who the fuck knows).
Unfortuantely will have to pay for the water damaged copy of On the road, so I guess I will get to read it after all.
Got lots of nice texts from friends on Christmas day, unfortunately I didn't have my phone (picked it up today), including one from Little miss sociopath, trying to convince to go the goth new year thing down here (her presence makes it less likely). Now have two definite new year options, and one other possibles. Always nice, including spending time around basically normal (majority latin american) people. That will probably easily be the biggest party (and I feel in the mood for that, its on the beach etc, etc.), but they're normal, and I'm weird, and I know this.
, so I have to weigh up.
Ultra small social gathering with small group of misanthropic goths (that might end up going to a larger gathering of goths at the new year goth event in Melbourne)? Slightly larger social gathering full of overly cozy couples, who will all be getting spectularly smashed (and will most likely end up playing a tense game of texas holdem)? Quite large party with basically random, very normal strangers?
What would you pick?

I started an LJ when I went grey on here once. I don't use it as I don't have any friends that would read it. it is good that you can alternate between the two sites.
If you're ever in Brisbane, let me know. I too would be interested to meet the real physical you to compare. Most of the people I've met on here have been very genuine. I've made some amazing friends. I'm lucky.
