My day started after 3 hours sleep, spending the whole day pretending to be on speed, for nine hours straight so med students could learn how to diagnose that someone had used speed the night before.
Nine hours of been manic, energetic, non-stop. Some of the diagnosis were quite disturbing, some thought I was a real patient, One gave me a stare of death, and in the end it was evenly spread as to who had passd that station, who had go near passes, and who had failed. Anyway it's enjoyable work, but this time, I was doing it all day, and this role was just exhausting.

Had to charge from there to the city to meet Jules(my friend) , Allison and Graham (her friends) see an Australian (or at least a victorian) premiere, of Rennaisance, a 2D in 3D film noir capture animation film. It was quite hyped and sold out the cinema.

A lot of people (myself included) dressed up as suggested in black and white ( I stiffed the white, except in my pinstripe), and got photos taken of ourselves, that were then turned into cartoons done in the style of the film. Mine had a goatee added, and I really looked Dr.No/Dr.Evil eeek

Okay it wasn't that bad, biggrin but I knew I was going to look stupid, the guy taking the photo distracted Jules by saying "No give us an evil look" so we couldn't help but almost crack a smile. Everyone got served a vodka with either raspberry or soda, and after all that hoohah we all sat down to watch the film.

It had an interesting aesthetic but that was about it. The universe if it had been developed or delved into could have been intriguing but it wasn't. The plot took such a huge jump that I was convinced for a second I must have fallen asleep, and the film noir didn't meld well with the sci-fi. Still it was enjoyable, and the attempted sattelite link up Q & A with the director was hilarious (the director was french and had trouble discerning the australian accent). Anyway its now 1:19am in the morning, and I'm absolutely exhausted.

ahhh 3D films!! The only ones that are quite up to standard are the IMAX ones with the slightly more advanced 3D glasses as opposed to the standard red and green ones... the 3D spy kids film looks quite bad...

I'm surprised they haven't done 3D short films on DVDs... i wonder if you can view in 3D on a standard TV.... hmmm... could be intersting. wink
