Today we celebrate the International Women's Day, and even we all knowing that every day is Women's Day, it's a very significant date.
Throughout the years, women conquered space, broke barriers, imposed themselves, became more active and independent.
I guess only a woman is capable of understanding the value of this things, how every step taken, in the history of mankind, were - and still are - very important to us. We can be free, we can be whoever we want to be without worrying about judgements such as "a serious woman wouldn't dress like that", "a daring woman doesn't deserve respect", "being audacious won't get you a husband", "a real woman doesn't curse, drink or smoke".
Wow... So much bullshit... But these words were, one day, blocks to many women. However it doesn't shake us anymore, 'cuz as the years passed, each woman who managed to face these barriers (imposed by the society), opened the way and gave courage to the others, so that they wouldn't falter.
The existence of a community like SG is the representation of how the woman can be who she wants, being free to make her own choices, and more and more, conquer her space and respect.
I'm very proud to be part of this Family.
