*In all seriousness, I walked into my managers office a week ago and handed my notice in. When he asked why, I told him that 130hours in 9 days, that I had been asked to work was stupid; and i would rather not work, then work myself into the ground for fuck all money and no appreciation. Also sacrificing time with my family, which is fucked up.
So they put me on nights. NIGHTS!! What the absolute fuck?! I agreed to stay on another month and see how things go (because realistically I can't support myself without a living wage). Nights, generally, adds up to between 140-150 hours per month. I work on average, 200+ hours to break even to pay my bills and insurance and rent and live comfortably. Which is going to leave me in the shit.
So...anyone need a fully qualified mental health nurse in their lives?
