Today i had a terrific moment at work. I have become good friends with the Indian guy that works at the cell phone kiosk next to my jewelry kiosk. His name is Dinesh and he has only been here for 11 days. Me, him and Shaunda, the girl that works there with him, were eating dinner together. A couple of kids in suits and ties walked by and Dinesh said " that is my dream, right there. To wear a nice coat and white shirt and tie."
Now, most people i know, if you ask them their ultimate dream, will reply with something like Marry pamela anderson, get rich by sitting on my ass, live in a huge mansion with a yacht in the backyard, (yeah, in the backyard...um...ok...hope it's made of water and not grass or dirt...) etc. But this guy just wants to be successful enough to buy a nice suit. To me, that was awesome. I wish that were the only thing i wanted. I later found out that Dinesh lives in a motel, has no car and never takes a day off from work because if he did, he wouldn't get to see his handful of friends...shaunda, Shakar, Clemen and me. (he also told me i'm his best friend....i think he may have a small crush, but harmless.) I am just amazed by people all the time. I'm so glad to have awesome people like Dinesh in my life...who can show you how great and happy small things can make someone.
