I think the next person who decided to tell me that they don't want to hire me because "i might get deployed" is gonna get bitch kicked in the fucking balls. I'm so sick of hearing it...seriously, people. I wish I could afford to hire an attorney and sue the fuck out of these people. Military members are protected from that. An employer can't NOT hire you because you are in the reserves or national guard. Basic USERRA laws..and funny, it is always attorneys who tell me this. fuckin fuckwads. no wonder so many veterans are homeless. show some support for the fucking people who give you the fucking right to not hire us because you don't like us, asshats.

it sucks because then, even if they end up hiring you under legal pressure, you're stuck in a hostile situation. but what I was told was "you probably won't get hired by them anyway. they'll find some way to weasel around it, but you don't really want to work for someone like that. The issue is that they have to learn they CANNOT do that to our military people...and hopefully the next one who applies won't get the shaft"
